Highlight Reel Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply when you use Highlight Reel for macOS, published by Ammar Keshodia (the “app” or “publisher”). By using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to App Store apps unless a custom EULA is provided.

Using the app

Highlight Reel helps you organize movie and TV bookmarks and use them with media available through Plex. You are responsible for your use of the app, your library, and any content you import, export, or share. Use the app and connected services lawfully and in accordance with the rights you have to access your media.

The app is an independent product and is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Plex, Inc. Plex and its services are subject to Plex’s own terms and policies. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible Plex account, server, and media access. The publisher does not operate Plex and cannot guarantee Plex or other external services will remain available or compatible.

Purchases and subscriptions

The app may offer full access through a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. The current prices and included features are displayed in the app and App Store at purchase. A subscription unlocks the paid features for its active period and renews automatically unless canceled before the renewal, as described by Apple at purchase. The lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Apple processes App Store purchases, billing, subscription renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods under Apple’s terms. The publisher does not receive your payment card details and cannot directly change Apple’s billing or issue App Store refunds. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account. Access to subscription features may end when a subscription expires or is refunded, subject to applicable law and Apple’s purchase rules.

Your data and media

Your library and bookmarks are stored locally by the app unless you export or share them. You are responsible for keeping copies of exported data that you want to retain. The publisher is not responsible for loss of data stored only on your device, except where applicable law requires otherwise. See the Privacy Policy for details about information handled by the app.

Availability and changes

The publisher may update, change, suspend, or discontinue app features to maintain or improve the app, respond to changes in macOS or third-party services, or meet legal requirements. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Plex server, media file, or macOS configuration. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app or third-party services. The publisher’s liability remains subject to any mandatory rights and remedies provided by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

The publisher may update these terms as the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
